Student Experience Survey 2018: best universities for student welfare

View the overall results of the 2018 Student Experience Survey

It's no secret that more and more students are coming forward and reporting feeling stressed and overwhelmed, sometimes leading to more severe mental health conditions. Due to this universities must provide high-quality mental health services to cater to the needs of the student body.

Participants in the 2018 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey were asked to provide a rating between “strongly agree” and “strongly disagree” on:

  • Personal requirements catered for
  • Good welfare support

These responses were then combined to determine which universities provide the best welfare support. Harper Adams University topped the list this year, with Loughborough University coming in second
