The University aims to be a global leader in dual-sector learning and research by 2028.  Position Summary  The Associate Professor – Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence will hold a senior academic position within the School of Technology and will also be Discipline Lead,, contributing to teaching excellence, curriculum leadership, research, and academic governance.  The role involves delivering and leading programs in IT and AI disciplines, mentoring faculty, driving innovation in teaching and research, and strengthening industry-academic collaborations. The appointee will contribute to high-impact research and support the University’s strategic vision in emerging technologies.  Indicative Areas of Expertise  Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning  Data Science & Big Data Analytics  Software Engineering & Full Stack Development  Cloud Computing & Distributed Systems  Cybersecurity & Information Systems  Internet of Things (IoT) & Emerging Technologies  Key Responsibilities  Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate IT and AI programs  Facilitate learning through face-to-face, online, and blended modes  Develop hands-on, project-based, and industry-relevant learning experiences  Lead curriculum design, development, and continuous improvement in IT and AI programs  Ensure alignment with global standards, emerging technologies, and industry needs  Coordinate subjects/units and mentor junior faculty members  Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed journals and conferences  Contribute to the University’s research strategy and innovation agenda  Lead or collaborate on funded research and industry projects  Establish and maintain partnerships with technology companies and industry stakeholders  Integrate real-world applications, tools, and case studies into teaching  Support internships, capstone projects, and experiential learning initiatives  Supervise postgraduate research students (Masters/PhD)  Provide academic mentoring and career guidance to students  Participate in assessment, moderation, and quality assurance processes  Contribute to academic governance and institutional committees  Support international collaborations and program delivery  Ensure compliance with academic policies, accreditation, and quality standards  Qualifications & Selection Criteria  Ph.D. in in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline from a recognised and reputable university.   Demonstrated record of academic excellence, including high-quality teaching, research publications, and curriculum development.   Substantial experience in higher education, preferably within well-regarded national or international institutions.   Proven leadership experience in academic roles (e.g., Program Lead, Discipline Lead, Head of Department, or equivalent), with the ability to mentor faculty and drive academic initiatives.   Strong industry engagement and the ability to build partnerships that enhance student learning and employability outcomes.   Experience in academic governance, accreditation processes, and quality assurance frameworks is desirable.   Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment.  Application Process Applicants must submit:  Updated Resume (CV)  Cover Letter  Details of Teaching Specialisation & Academic Role  For any concerns while submitting your application, please email: careers@daskalos.com

Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed. Description The Research Center on Stability, Instability and Turbulence (SITE) a center of the Research Institute, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work in the fluid mechanics laboratory for experimental fluid dynamics.  SITE is inviting applications for fully-funded postdoctoral research associate positions. SITE is highly interdisciplinary and aims to develop novel enabling technology on hydrodynamic stability analysis that has applications in the study of the development of singularities, the long-time behavior of complex systems, the formation of spatial patterns, the transition between stability and instability, and the first steps of transition towards turbulence that appear in several disciplines across science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and innovation. Candidates must hold (or be close to completing) a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Applied Physics or a related field. Working in a newly established fluid dynamics laboratory at NYU Abu Dhabi, candidates are expected to have a strong interest in experimental research and collaborate with applied mathematicians closely.
