THE Awards

Established in the UK in 2005 and held overseas for the first time in 2019, the THE Awards series (or the 'Oscars of higher education' as it is now widely known) comprises landmark events in the higher education calendar.

Free to enter, and complementing our suite of rankings, they are judged by a panel of sector experts and shine a light on the exceptional and extraordinary work taking place in our universities. Hundreds of institutions enter, and winners come from world-renowned and highly ranked institutions, those who may be less well known and operating in uniquely challenging circumstances, and every shape and size in between.
