World Summit Series

Our programme of worldwide activity, headed by our flagship annual Times Higher Education World Academic Summit and a regular series of regional summits, brings together pre-eminent global thought leaders across higher education, research, industry and government to share best practice and innovation in the development and leadership of world-class universities and research.

THE events are an essential forum for leaders from across the academic community to meet and shape the future for international higher education governance and innovation.

Alumni of our World Summit Series join a global network of outstanding presidents, vice-chancellors, chief executives and decision-makers to learn, interact, create and share knowledge and experience for the benefit of all.

Forums

Global Forums

Our series of focused forums bring together senior leaders across higher education, research, industry and policymaking, to share data, best practice and innovative ideas about the future of universities.

Our Impact Forums are aligned to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, which measure universities’ action towards the UN Sustainability Goals, while our country-focused forums are a chance to deep-dive into the higher education in that region.

THE Awards

THE Awards

Established in the UK in 2005, and held overseas for the first time in 2019, the THE Awards (or the 'Oscars of higher education' as they are now widely known) are landmark events in the higher education calendar.

Free to enter, and complementing our suite of rankings, the THE Awards are judged by a panel of sector experts, and shine a light on exceptional and sometimes extraordinary work taking place in our universities. Hundreds of institutions enter, and winners come from world-renowned and highly ranked institutions, those who may be less well known and operating in uniquely challenging circumstances, and every shape and size in between.
