The University of Dundee is a leading public teaching and research institution in Scotland, United Kingdom. The university can trace its roots back to 1881, when a wealthy local family donated money for a college to be built in the city. For many years after, Dundee had a partnership with the University of St Andrews, but gained independent university status in 1967. Today, the university has more than 14,000 full time undergraduate students and around 22 per cent of its total student body are international. More than 500 courses are taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, ranging across sciences, business, arts and humanities, health, and law. Dundee’s main university campus is located in the west end of the city, within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Additional facilities are found at Ninewells Hospital, where the school of medicine is based as well as a research centre. The university’s student union has previously been voted the best in Scotland, and hosts a wide range of events and sports contests. Clubs and social clubs at the university cover a wide range of interests, from the political to the artsy. Sporting facilities include a gym, tennis courts and a 25 metre swimming pool. There are eight student accommodation halls on and off-campus, offering a range of shared living options. The city centre location means that students are within walking distance or a short bus journey from a range of amenities. The accommodation is in the heart of the action and an ensuite room is guaranteed for undergraduate offer holders, subject to terms and conditions.

Industry Collaboration Support collaborations with industry partners to understand problem statements and contribute to solution development. Assist in project scoping by gathering technical inputs and identifying relevant capabilities within the ecosystem (IHLs, research centres, industry partners). Participate in industry meetings, discussions, and project engagements. Project Execution & Support Assist Professional Officers, faculty and project leads in planning, coordinating and executing assigned project workstreams, including timeline tracking, documentation and follow-up on deliverables linked to the committed KPI areas: service volume, innovation initiatives, value capture, manpower training and ecosystem establishment. Generate technical reports, presentations, dashboards, project trackers, and documentation on the development, validation, deployment, and value capture of healthcare solutions and applications. Contribute to grant proposals and project submissions where required. Track project progress and maintain proper documentation of milestones, deliverables, risks/issues, partner inputs, funding status and measurable outcomes for assigned projects. Support the IaaS Center for Community and Allied Health Innovation in achieving team-level KPI outcomes through assigned analytics, documentation and project support tasks. Contribute to assigned analytics workstreams and projects, including data analytics projects and digital dashboard development for industry partners, hospitals, aged care homes, and non-profit organisations, encompassing proposal development, partner engagement, analytics scoping, and project documentation. Coordinate assigned workstreams within the team's innovation portfolio, supporting the delivery and deployment of new or improved products, processes, and services to healthcare and community organisations, while monitoring implementation, adoption, and analytics evidence to support value-capture documentation. Support training, demonstration, and workshop delivery for company employees and healthcare professionals, contributing to the team's capability-building and knowledge-transfer goals. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years experience in Nursing, Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Research, or a related field or related disciplines with relevant experience in research, engineering, product development, or healthcare innovation related work. Position Summary: The International Water Research Institute (IWRI) of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES) at UM6P invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in hybrid machine learning-physics based modeling of hydroclimatic extremes in data scarce regions. The postdoctoral researcher will develop innovative hybrid machine learning-physics based modeling approaches to improve the understanding and prediction of hydroclimatic extremes in data-scarce regions, with a primary focus on Morocco. The position aims to advance methods that integrate data-driven algorithms with physically based hydrological and climate models under conditions of limited observations, while ensuring that the resulting tools are both scientifically robust and operationally relevant. A key component of the role is the translation of model outputs into actionable information for stakeholders, particularly water resource managers and planning authorities, and the evaluation of long-term water management strategies aimed at mitigating water scarcity. The project also includes assessing the transferability of the developed approaches to other regions facing similar constraints.  Scientific context: Hydroclimatic extremes such as droughts and floods are intensifying under climate variability and change, particularly in regions where observational data are sparse and monitoring systems are limited. In such context, traditional physically based models are often constrained by insufficient data, while purely data-driven approaches may lack physical consistency and generalizability. Hybrid modeling frameworks that combine machine learning with process-based understanding offer a promising pathway to overcome these limitations. Morocco provides a compelling case study, given its pronounced hydroclimatic variability, increasing water stress, and ongoing investments in large-scale water management strategies. However, significant challenges remain in reliably predicting extreme events and assessing long-term adaptation options under deep uncertainty and data scarcity. Research Scope: The project will focus on the development of a new generation of hybrid modeling approaches that couple advanced machine learning methods with hydrological and/or climate models. Emphasis will be placed on designing approaches that are robust to data scarcity through the integration of heterogeneous data sources, including remote sensing products, reanalysis datasets, and sparse in-situ observations, as well as techniques such as transfer learning and uncertainty quantification. The research will address the detection, attribution and prediction of hydroclimatic extremes under non-stationary conditions and evalaute model performance over Morocco as a primary testbed. A central components of the work will invovle translating model outputs into decision-relevant indicators and assessin the feasibility and robustness of long-term water maangemnt strategies currently under consideration. The transferability of the developed methods to other regions will also be systematically investigated. Candidate Profile: PhD in hydrology, climate science, geosciences, applied mathematics, computer science or related field Expertise in mahcine learning, physically based modeling or hybrid approaches combining boths Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, Fortran, or similar) and familiarity with ML frameworks. Experience with hydroclimatic data, including remote sensing products, reanalysis datasets and/or in-situ observations Knowledge of uncertainty quantification, data assimilation, or transfer learning is a strong advantage. Public policy scholarship at Crawford School is characterized by high quality, policy-relevant research across a range of disciplines. The Development Policy Centre (Devpol) is a research centre within the Crawford School of Public Policy with a focus on Australian aid, the Pacific and PNG, and global development policy. The Position The Research Advisor works closely with the Centre’s Director as part of the research team, contributing to the design and implementation of research as part of the ANU-UPNG Partnership and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders. The Research Advisor provides high level quantitative data analysis and policy analysis to write and produce research articles and blogs, including coordinating support aspects of allocated research activities. This position may be required to supervise and mentor junior staff and interns, and collaborate with UPNG colleagues.
