Study in Austria

Study in Austria, and you will be nestled in the heart of Europe in a country home to one of the oldest and most influential cultures on the continent. As well as a warm summer climate and tall mountains in the Southern Alps, Austria plays host to some incredibly vibrant (and historical) cities, such as Salzburg, Innsbruck and of course the capital, Vienna.

It is no surprise therefore that Austria is a popular destination not only for students, but also for European tourists. Its location and good transport links allow easy access for its residents to the sights and sounds of the rest of Europe.

Despite its small size, Austria has given the world a huge number of enormously respected individuals, from renowned scientists such as Sigmund Freud, Erwin Schrodinger and Wolfgang Pauli to athletes like footballer David Alaba. Austria is also notable for having provided a home for many influential people who weren’t themselves Austrian, such as Ludwig van Beethoven.

With such a rich history of excellence, it is therefore no surprise that Austria has much to offer prospective students. Perhaps the most famous university in Austria is the University of Vienna, an ancient institution, founded in 1365, with a remarkable list of alumni including Erwin Schrodinger, Sigmund Freud and Friedrich Hayek.
