Reporting to the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, and working as a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Provost will play a central role in delivering the ambitions of our Aberdeen 2040 strategy. The Provost will provide strategic and operational leadership to all Schools through the line-management of Heads of School, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education, an excellent student experience, and world-leading research and innovation. They will oversee School plans and budgets, support performance against institutional KPIs, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the University to embed a strong culture of excellence and accountability. A key aspect of the role is providing executive leadership for strategic planning, including the ongoing development and monitoring of Aberdeen 2040 and oversight of the University’s strategic planning processes. This is a pivotal time to join Aberdeen. We have launched Adapting for Continued Success, a major University-wide transformation programme that will design and implement a new operating model to support our academic mission, strengthen long-term financial sustainability, and ensure we continue to evolve in response to the changing needs of our community and the wider world. Alongside this, we are undertaking a Governance Efficiency Review covering Court, Senate, Senior Management and General Council, with the aim of delivering streamlined, effective governance that will enable the University to realise its long-term ambitions. About the role: We are recruiting a proactive Senior Records Officer to deliver professional and efficient administrative support as part of a comprehensive, professional, and student-centred service. Successful candidates will be well-organised, good communicators, have administration experience and possess excellent IT skills. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to manage and improve systems and processes that support the student administrative lifecycle, and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in student administration. Act as a champion for procedure and policy relating to the Student record, ensuring accuracy and consistency, while adhering to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules on confidentiality of personal information Act as a consistently professional and solution-focussed ambassador for Student Administrative Services as a whole. About you: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Relevant work experience and/or education: We think a wide range of different work and educational experiences could support you to be successful in this role. Relevant work experience might include work in higher education, or a compliance role. Relevant educational experiences might include higher education in a related discipline, professional qualifications or other training.  Excellent attention to detail and an eye for accuracy. Excellent IT Skills, including with the Microsoft Office Suite.  Excellent administrative skills, including the ability to organise and plan effectively. Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide detailed advice and guidance on specialist, defined processes and procedures to internal and external contacts. Ability to work collaboratively. Anticipating problems and applying proactive and innovative approaches to resolve issues. Flexible and comfortable with adapting to change.  Knowledge of the student management system SITS Client. Knowledge of policies and procedures and their application in a Higher Education context.
