The Position We now invite applications for appointment as Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (several posts) in all six academic areas in the Faculty of Business and Economics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in business or economics related discipline. The appointees are expected to deliver quality teaching and be committed to high-quality scholarly research and services.  Those appointed at Professor/Associate Professor level will also be expected to mentor and nurture the next generation of scholars and researchers, and assume high-level service/administrative responsibilities. What We Offer The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 3 years initially, to commence on July 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of the second three-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidates at Professor/Associate Professor level may be considered for appointment on tenure terms subject to approval. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and professional leave, medical benefits, and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. You will also engage in high-quality research and relevant professional and knowledge exchange activities as part of the School of Nursing, Public and Allied Health’s continued development. You must be a registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), educated to Masters level (or currently studying towards one) and have significant experience within paramedic practice, including experience of supervising, mentoring or supporting pre-registration paramedic students or trainees. Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Role The Manger Counselling Service is responsible for providing leadership and management of the Flinders University’s Counselling Service - including the Intake and Assessment team and Counselling teams including those based in regional and remote areas. The Counselling Service provides a range of services to enhance student wellbeing including intake and assessment, crisis and critical incident support, complex case management, short-term solution-focussed counselling, gender-based violence support, group programs, wellbeing initiatives including training and consultation to staff across the university. In collaboration with the Director Student Life, you will play a key role in ensuring that efficient and effective service delivery models are in place to support student wellbeing, meet service demands, and ensure compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory and policy obligations. This will be achieved by: Providing leadership, supervision and performance management to a team of counsellors delivering high quality programs of work and student health and wellbeing services. This includes ensuring quality and consistency of service delivery, planning adequate resourcing to meet demand, providing professional supervision and fostering and modelling a high-performance culture. Implementing a continuous improvement framework to ensure the delivery of quality and timely counselling services and other wellbeing initiatives, programs and projects that reflect best practice and the current higher education sector priorities. Ensuring that students in crisis and/or at risk are managed appropriately, including taking a key role in the management of critical incidents. Contributing to initiatives that aim to address and promote matters related to student mental health and wellbeing, including gender-based violence.
