University Impact Rankings 2023 for UN SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We use carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching. The list includes 1,625 institutions from 112 countries/regions.

This table on SDG 17 – partnerships for the goals looks at the broader ways in which universities support the SDGs through collaboration with other countries, promotion of best practices and publication of data.

Key insights

  • Western Sydney University in Australia takes the top spot, while Denmark’s Aalborg University and Australia’s RMIT University are joint second
  • The UK is the most-represented country in the top 100 with 23 institutions, followed by Canada with 13 and Australia with 12
