China Subject Ratings 2020: Physical Science

The Times Higher Education China Subject Ratings 2020 measures university performance based on the Chinese Ministry of Education’s classification of subjects.

The ratings for physical science reveal performance across 14 subjects: astronomy; atmospheric sciences; biology; chemistry; ecology; geography; geology; geophysics; history of science and technology; marine sciences; mathematics; physics; statistics; and systems sciences.

In total, 1,127 universities worldwide receive a rating for at least one subject in the physical science pillar.

Six universities achieve an A+ grade in all 14 physical science subjects, while Peking University is the top-performing institution in mainland China.
