China Subject Ratings 2020: Arts

The Times Higher Education China Subject Ratings 2020 measures university performance based on the Chinese Ministry of Education’s classification of subjects.

The ratings for arts reveal performance across five subjects: art theory; design; drama and film studies; fine arts; music and dance studies.

In total, 460 universities worldwide receive a rating for at least one subject in the arts pillar.

Twenty universities achieve an A+ grade in all five of the arts subjects, while Tsinghua University is the top-performing institution in mainland China.
