Oxford and Cambridge universities have joined the International Alliance of Research Universities, a global network of research-intensive universities that was launched at an inaugural meeting in Singapore last week. The group will foster co-operation on a range of research projects.
The other members are the Australian National University, ETH Zurich, the National University of Singapore, Beijing University, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Tokyo and Yale University.
