Nottingham Trent University - Huge bequest will boost research

A £7.65 million gift from the John and Lucille van Geest Foundation to Nottingham Trent University could be the largest donation to a post-1992 institution, according to the university. The donation will fund ongoing cancer research at the university. Nearly £3 million will fund the creation of a research centre. The rest of the money, which will be spread over five years, will nearly double the university's cancer research staff to 25 and support research into cancer diagnosis.
