Quantum Dots

This EPSRC first grant will fund Dr Leslie's exploration of the potential of quantum dots, minute semiconductors used in the electronics industry, in radiation measurement technology. If successful, quantum dots could be applied in the security and healthcare sectors, supporting processes such as determining the radiation doses received by patients and verifying medical equipment sterilisation.
