Our mission is to contribute through student education, scientific activity, and social engagement to a physically active and healthy life for all age and performance groups of the population, to the development of knowledge in the field of sports, and to respect for the rules of fair play in sports and in everyday life. Main activities: Ensuring the proper functioning and development of the department in accordance with the faculty's strategic plan – see FSpS Document Server (muni.cz), responsibility for the educational and scientific activities of the department and the achievement of the required outputs and results, responsibility for the performance of the so-called third role of the university, personnel management of the department (motivation, evaluation, and career growth of employees), responsibility for the management of entrusted funds and the economic management of the department (in cooperation with the faculty secretary), support for the development of scientific and research activities, close collaboration with the faculty management, own teaching and scientific research activities. Requirements: university education, at least a PhD degree in the relevant field (according to the department's focus); excellent organisational and management skills, excellent communication skills, experience in managing a work team, relevant teaching and research activities (including international activities), excellent knowledge of the Czech language, advanced knowledge of English (min. B2). The role also includes supporting the discipline’s administrative functions and undertaking scholarly activity that enhances learning and teaching within the discipline or professional field. You will be expected to demonstrate high-quality teaching in line with La Trobe’s Teaching Excellence Principles, with a strong record reflected through Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT) results, peer feedback, and other evidence-based measures.
