Position Overview The Australian National University (ANU) invites applications for the position of Lead Software Specialist within the Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre (AITC), part of the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA). The ANU College of Science brings together a broad range of disciplines and research programs, with a strong focus on research-led education and innovation. Within this environment, the AITC develops advanced optical and infrared instrumentation and telescope systems for ground- and space-based astronomy, and supports existing telescope facilities. This position provides leadership to the AITC software engineering program, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of software systems for complex scientific instrumentation projects of national and international significance. The John Curtin School of Medical Research was established in 1948 as a founding school of the Australian National University. With a legacy of three Nobel Laureates and numerous other prestigious international and national awards, the School undertakes research into diseases that include cancer, infectious diseases and neurological conditions, drawing on deep expertise in genomics, cancer biology, immunology, and neuroscience.
