Times Higher Education’s Sustainability Impact Ratings (formerly THE Impact Rankings) surveyed 561 universities from 84 countries/territories across the globe to identify the top universities for UN Sustainable Development Goal 14: life below water. Read the full methodology here.

Assessing progress towards the UN SDGs, the SDG 14 ranking highlights universities advancing sustainable marine resource management, protecting coastal ecosystems and fighting marine pollution. Through research, teaching and direct action, they address challenges such as unregulated fishing, impacts of ocean acidification and preserving marine biodiversity.
