University of Durham

Colette Eggleton
, formerly responsible for marketing Learning North East at the University of Sunderland, has been appointed marketing and development manager to the university's business school.

University of the West of England

Kathryn Bishop
, consultant in organisational change and teacher at Templeton College Oxford, has been appointed head of planning and projects.

Elaine Limage
, former personnel manager at Bristol City Countil, has been appointed deputy head of personnel servies.

University of Central England

Graham Logan
, former director of business and enterprise with Leicestershire Training and Enterprise Council, has been appointed director of the corporate development centre.

University of Southampton

The university's New College has appointed Stephen Waring , former director of corporate affairs at Salisbury College, as assistant director with special responsibility for marketing and recruitment.

University of Surrey


N. Green has been appointed lecturer in sociology of new technologies;
A. Andreev lecturer in semiconductor physics and optoelectronic devies.

Academic related staff:

Stuart Aitken formerly at Lancaster University, has been appointed student recruitment officer.

Research officers:

Kim Perren , formerly at Cambridge University, has been appointed research fellow in the school of human sciences.

Tim Simpson , former database administrator, has been appointed to the school of physics and chemistry.

Kavita Thapan and Claire Leach have been appointed to the school of biomedical and life sciences.
