University of Northampton - Addicted to tech

A global study into the everyday uses of technology by a team at the University of Northampton's Cranfield School of Management has yielded surprising results. More than 1,200 people were separated into four groups, and the resulting report shows that more than a third of all respondents admitted to technological addiction. Notable statistics from the study include the finding that 70 per cent of one of the four groups spent 24 per cent of their time online, and 50 per cent of all respondents admitted to having used the internet to flirt, make sexual advances and conduct affairs.
