Exeter/Plymouth - Peninsula nets EU cash

A £3 million grant is to fund international research into the relationship between the environment and human health. The cash from the European Regional Development Fund has been awarded to the European Centre for Environment and Human Health. The centre is run by the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry - a joint venture comprising the University of Exeter, the University of Plymouth and the NHS in the South West. The grant will be matched by £3 million of Peninsula's own money.
