RESPONSIBILITIES IBSS is seeking to appoint a Head of the Department of Finance to join the School’s leadership team. This is an opportunity for a senior academic with a strong record in research and academic leadership to contribute to the next stage of development of a young, ambitious, and internationally accredited business school located in one of China’s most dynamic economic regions. The appointee will be an internationally recognised academic and/or design practitioner whose record is commensurate with appointment at the Full Professor level. The appointee will also play a key role in shaping the Department’s future academic profile through strategic recruitment, mentoring, and the development of new capabilities in emerging areas of industrial design. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS The Department of Applied Mathematics comprises academic staff with active research in analysis of differential equations, numerical analysis and scientific computing, control theory and optimization, operational research, machine learning, probability, and related applications. The Department delivers courses for three four-year undergraduate mathematics programmes and also provides service teaching for other programmes across the University.
