We're seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering with additional expertise in mechatronics and/or robotics engineering. You will make an impact by: Delivering engaging teaching across mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics and / or robotics engineering Developing innovative curriculum that integrates emerging technologies and prepares graduates for the future of engineering Building your research profile through publications, grant funding and supervision of Higher Degree Research students Collaborating with industry, professional bodies and research partners to strengthen teaching, research and student outcomes Contributing to course leadership, accreditation and the continued growth of engineering programs What you will bring You’re a passionate about mechanical engineering education and inspired by the opportunity to develop future engineers while contributing to meaningful research. To succeed in this role, you will also need: A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline such as Mechatronic or Robotics Engineering Demonstrated experience teaching mechanical engineering, mechatronics and / or robotics engineering in higher education using contemporary learning technologies A research track record appropriate to your career stage, including high-quality publications and the ability to attract research funding Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across academic, industry and professional communities A commitment to excellence in teaching, research, inclusion and student success Why Southern Cross University SCU is proudly a regional university, young, small and vibrant. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities. ACAD Level B or C. The base salary for an Academic Level B ranges from $114,482 – $135,392 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $158,409. The base salary for an Academic Level C ranges from $139,568 – $160,473 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $187,753.
