General Requirements Candidate should have a relevant Doctoral degree in the relevant discipline, preferably with professional qualifications, such as CFA, ASA, and FRM. STEM Background would be a plus. Candidate should have a distinguished teaching record with professional recognition through leadership in the field of education, and should commit to teaching excellence, curriculum development, programme co-ordination, promotion and management, student advising and mentoring. The prime responsibilities of the appointee are teaching and contributions to the education mission of the University. The appointee is required to teach a range of core and elective courses, and to develop new programmes, courses, teaching methods and procedures to enhance students’ learning. The appointee is expected to: teach relevant courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including supervising undergraduate and/or postgraduate final projects; generate research outputs with high impact and participate in competitive grant applications exercises; and 3. assist the Department with administration and curriculum development. Requirements Applicants for the position should have: (i) a PhD degree in Modern Literature or a relevant area (ii) good track record of publications, grants, and awards (iii) some experience in teaching or developing courses in digital humanities, modern literature or world literatures An appointee at the level of Associate / Assistant Professor should, besides being an effective teacher, demonstrate great potential to produce quality research output in the very near future.
