Established in 1992, the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is one of Ireland’s largest higher education institutions.

As a modern university, it places considerable emphasis on delivering practical, hands on teaching designed to meet the needs of industry. Its offers approximately 150 degree programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across faculties of Arts, Tourism, Business, Engineering & the Built Environment, and Sciences and Health.

In place of mass lectures, most learning at DIT takes place in small classes to provide students with one-on-one tuition and small group learning. DIT also offers support and facilities to students showing entrepreneurial spirit looking to and set up their own business.

Student exchange and research programmes are in place with universities across the world, stretching as far as India, the USA, China and Brazil. DIT also partners with the Mozambique Eyecare Project, allowing undergraduates the opportunity to study a course in Mozambique’s capital, Nampula, and marking the first international project of its kind in the country. Postgraduate students can undertake a joint master's degree with universities in Chicago and Louisiana.

About 20% of DIT’s 20,000-strong student population come from outside Ireland. The university also prides itself on its work in the local community, where it works with the Access and Civic Engagement service to offer underrepresented groups the chance to study and learn.

With six campuses based in Dublin and plans to develop more, DIT is a growing institution that places diversity, innovation and critical inquiry central to its mission. It boasts subject strengths in food and health sciences, economic and business development; environmental sustainability, information and communication technologies, creative arts and media.

Outside of the classroom, students can choose from 150 sports clubs and societies to get involved with on campus.

About us The King’s Health Partners Clinical Trials Office (KHP-CTO) is a collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Established to provide a single interface for those wishing to conduct clinical research within the partner organisations, and to ensure that there are common, efficient processes for the set up and administration of clinical trials. About the role To act as a single point of contact for a large and diverse portfolio of commercial clinical trials in set up across the Partner Organisations. To ensure feasibility assessments are conducted robustly to King’s Health Partner’s SOPs and to develop systems and processes to increase speed and efficiency of the feasibility process. To set up new commercial trials, including the review of contractual and financial terms and assessing, arranging and confirming local capacity and capability Responsible for providing an effective, high quality, timely and efficient contractual and financial/budgetary service to investigators, companies and contract research organisations seeking to conduct commercial trials in any of the Partner Organisations To review and negotiate commercial trial budgets and contracts in accordance with the National Contract Value Review process and ensure accurate completion To review and negotiate commercial trial budgets for contract amendments in accordance the National Contract Value Review process. Job Purpose At SIT's Professional Officers Division, we bring our rich industry experience and technical skills into our work, creating a better physical environment where learning and innovation take place. We work with teaching programmes and innovation projects to improve the skills of our students and to strengthen & energise our industry and the wider community. A Professional Officer has a combination of job responsibilities relating to the following: participate in and manage innovation projects, manage digital technology related resources, and mentor & facilitate student learning. The Centre for Digital Enablement (CoDE) drives the initiatives to elevate digital competencies for academic staff and students within SIT. It works with various stakeholders, both internal and external, in upskilling digital literacy across the organization through literacy programmes and digital innovation projects in relation to the Digital Learning Spaces (DLS). For this role, you will spearhead the various AI enablement programmes in SIT, manage the AI related resources and initiatives within CoDE, and lead AI projects within SIT and with industry partners to support teaching and learning objectives. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering digital literacy courses to undergraduate students and academic staff as part of the institutional drive to ensure our graduates are ready for a highly digitally-enabled workforce. Additionally, you’ll be required to mentor and facilitate student learning by participating in and managing student projects. Key Responsibilities AI Enablement Programmes Lead and oversee a range of AI enablement programmes to facilitate the growth of AI skills among SIT undergraduate students and academic staff. Develop an AI Competency Roadmap, providing guidance for SIT undergraduate students and academic staff in developing their AI competencies. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, ensuring the continued relevancy and currency of the AI enablement programmes and AI Competency Roadmap. Manage AI-related resources within the division such as the administration of software, hardware systems, and equipment. AI Projects Drive AI projects within CoDE to support teaching and learning objectives. Collaborate with industry partners, faculty, Professional Officers and other stakeholders to conduct applied research in AI related technologies. Teaching & Student Mentorship Develop and deliver digital skills literacy related courses or workshops to undergraduate students and staff. This includes development of learning contents and activities, providing consultations on digital skills/technology related queries, and assessment and grading of students’ work. Mentor and facilitate student learning by participating in and managing student projects. Any other matters as directed by Director/Deputy Director of CoDE. Job Requirements A good degree in Computer Science or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous. 10+ years of working experience, including at least 5 in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related area.SIT Internal Proven experience in developing and deploying AI solutions. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar. Proficiency in data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation techniques. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems.
