The Faculty of Medicine, supported by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Infectious Diseases  You will be developing your research and teaching within the School of Clinical and Experimental Science within the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton in Association with Professor Tristan Clark who has a programme of research evaluating novel rapid diagnostic test for infection. You will also have clinical commitments at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust  You will have a higher research degree (or have submitted for such a degree) and appropriate research experience. In this post-doctoral role, the successful candidate will have substantial experience of the relevant research areas, a proven track record of high-quality original research with outputs including high impact publications, presentations at prestigious scientific meetings and conferences and receipt of personal prizes and other marker of esteem. University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor in Public Policy in School of International Studies About the Role As the School of International Studies enters a sustained period of growth, we are looking for a talented scholar and teacher to help strengthen our new International Public Policy Program. The successful candidate should be available to start August 2026.  Applicants must have a completed PhD in Social and or Public Policy, Public Administration or a related field by the start date. Candidates must evidence ability to teach courses in International Public Policy broadly defined, evidence experience or ability in teaching survey courses in Public Policy, Public and Comparative Administration, Public Ethics and willingness to contribute to the broader teaching in International Studies. Especially attractive will be someone with a track record in quantitative research methods, policy analysis, implementation and evaluation, health policy, data science. Experience with, or interest in developing experiential and career-focused learning pedagogy would be considered a plus. Expected is ability to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and where applicable PhD supervision experience. Candidates must show evidence of research expertise in Public and or Social Policy, Public Administration broadly understood; demonstrable ability to undertake and publish excellent research with record or potential for grant capture. The role will be responsible for generating new intellectual understanding/knowledge through the application of knowledge and for developing ideas for application of research and teaching outcomes. The successful applicant will take responsibility for identifying new opportunities to contribute to the quality of education and student experience we provide including identifying new opportunities and innovation to continuously improve the ways we teach and how students learn.
