Andijan Machine-Building Institute can trace its origins back to 1976 as an educational centre, but it wasn't until 2011 that it launched as the Andijan Machine-Building Institute. To date, it's the only higher educational establishment in Central Asia focused specifically on machine-building.

There are currently three campuses set across Andijan city. These are comprised of six faculties, 24 departments and eight research laboratories.

Students can choose between 23 bachelor programmes, 12 master's programmes, 8 PhD programmes, seven double degree bachelor programmes and one double degree master programme.

The office of international cooperation conducts external relations with global partners, encourages further scientific pedagogical exchange and sends teachers and students for training at educational institutions around the world. The university currently has ties with more than 30 countries across Europe and Asia.

About us The postholder will be based in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, joining Europe’s largest grouping of youth-focused mental health scientists, clinical academics and researchers at the newly established Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People. About the role This role will provide clinical psychology expertise to support a programme of youth mental health research and service innovation under the direction of Dr Daniel Michelson (Clinical Reader in Youth Mental Health), working in partnership with South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, community youth organisations and schools. The postholder will contribute to the co-design, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of a portfolio of intervention-focused projects, with an emphasis on scalable formats that can be delivered by non-specialists. These include: A transdiagnostic single-session intervention for clinically referred young people with depression or anxiety on CAMHS waiting lists (supported by assistant psychologists). A suite of single-session early interventions designed to address emerging depression and anxiety among young people supported by youth organisations in Croydon and Lambeth (supported by community youth workers). A brief intervention targeting emotionally based school avoidance during the transition from primary to secondary school (supported by attendance mentors). For those seeking to pursue a future clinical academic career, an appropriate professional development plan will be provided (e.g., mentoring and other support for developing a competitive fellowship application). This is a part-time post (14 hours per week; 0.4FTE), available on a fixed-term contract until 31/08/28. About you To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology with active HCPC registration as a Practitioner (Clinical) Psychologist. Experience in applied mental health research, gained as a salaried research assistant/associate/fellow and/or during doctoral training. Experience of lived experience involvement in mental health research and service development. Experience of delivering brief psychological interventions to young people aged 10-19 years. About us: This post will be based in the Health Psychology Section of the Department of Psychology, at King’s College London, embedded within a dynamic team that brings together expertise in long-term condition management, complex intervention development (including digital health), randomized controlled trials, and implementation research. The Health Psychology Section has played a pivotal role in shaping the discipline within the UK and is internationally recognised for excellence in both research and teaching. Our work spans fundamental research into the psychosocial processes underlying adaptation to long-term conditions and the experience of symptoms, as well as translational research testing the efficacy and effectiveness of theory-based psychological interventions for people living with long-term conditions.  We are also at the forefront of developing and evaluating innovative methods to support self-management of health, symptoms, mood, and adherence, with a strong emphasis on digital interventions. REFUEL-MS is a £2.7 million, 5.5-year programme grant for applied research, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the MS Society. We are currently just over three years into the programme. The grant is led by Professor Rona Moss-Morris at King’s College London, in collaboration with the University of Northumbria, Bournemouth University, Queen Margaret University, the University of Plymouth, a Lived Experience Advisory Group, and the MS Society. The overall aim of REFUEL-MS is to integrate existing components of exercise and behavioural interventions into an individually tailored, health care professional-supported digital fatigue treatment. We have completed the first three work packages and are currently running work package 4, a randomised controlled trial to evaluate the clinical and cost effectiveness of REFUEL-MS, with completion expected by the end of 2026. The fifth and final work package will begin implementation of REFUEL-MS in four UK MS services, exploring barriers and facilitators to future adoption. The Programme Manager will play a central role in strategically managing and coordinating all work packages within REFUEL-MS. This includes overseeing the budget, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, and maintaining adherence to standard operating procedures. The role requires close collaboration with the central research team at King’s College London and the Programme Management Group, ensuring effective communication and coordination across partner institutions and stakeholders. This is a key leadership position within a complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional programme. The successful candidate will need strong organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and experience in overseeing large-scale research projects including clinical trials. They will be expected to support the delivery of high-quality outputs, facilitate smooth collaboration across teams, and contribute to the successful implementation of REFUEL-MS in NHS services. This is a full-time (35 hours per week) fixed term post ending on the 31st March 2028.
