The University of Exeter and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi eye Olympic glory
The University of Exeter and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi have combined their sports research capabilities to drive technology development and education

The University of Exeter’s strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is founded on parallel goals: to improve the performance of elite athletes while simultaneously increasing participation in sport – and reaping the public health benefits of this – at a grassroots level. By sharing resources, expertise and ideas, the partnership is supporting India’s rapidly growing sports sector.
In an episode of the THE Connect podcast, host Ashton Wenborn speaks with Dominic Farris, associate professor and director of global engagement for the Department of Public Health and Sports Sciences at the University of Exeter, and Biswarup Mukherjee, associate professor in the Centre for Biomedical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
They discuss how international collaboration is advancing sports engineering, biomechanics and performance science, and why partnerships like this are critical to shaping the future of sport.
