China Subject Ratings 2023: Agriculture

The Times Higher Education China Subject Ratings are the only performance tables that judge Chinese institutions against their global peers based on the Chinese Ministry of Education’s classification of subjects.

The ratings for agriculture reveal performance across nine subjects: agricultural resources and environment; animal husbandry; aquatic production and aquatic science; crop science; forestry science and forestry; grass science and turf grass science; horticulture; plant protection; and veterinary science.

In total, 662 universities worldwide receive a rating for at least one subject in the agriculture pillar.

Sixteen universities achieve an A+ grade in all nine of the agriculture subjects.

Nanjing Agricultural University University is the top-performing institution in mainland China, achieving eight A+ grades for agriculture.
