This table on SDG 17: partnerships for the goals looks at the broader ways in which universities support the SDGs through collaboration with other countries, the promotion of best practices and the publication of data.
The list includes more than 450 universities from 77 countries.
The list is jointly led by New Zealand’s University of Auckland and the UK’s University of Manchester, while Canada’s University of Montreal completes the top three.
Japan is the most-represented nation in the table with 43 institutions, followed by Russia with 33 and the US with 31.
The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We use carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach, and stewardship.
The metrics were developed in partnership with Vertigo Ventures.
