This table on SDG 16: peace, justice and strong institutions measures universities’ research on law and international relations, their participation as advisers for government and their policies on academic freedom.

The list includes more than 270 universities from 66 countries.

The list is led by Taiwan’s National Taiwan University, while Russia’s Rostov State University of Economics and the UK’s Soas, University of London complete the top three.

Japan is the most-represented nation in the table with 28 institutions, followed by Russia with 21 and the UK with 18.
