Who's in who's out?

First we were what we ate and now we are what we wear, according to Frances Corner (left), the new head of the London College of Fashion. Dr Corner, who spent four years as head of the Sir John Cass department of art, media and design at London Metropolitan University, said: "Fashion is such a crucial subject for the 21st century. It is not simply about the way we dress, it's about our perception of ourselves and I'm looking forward to making sure we remain a global leader in fashion education."

IN

Rob Imeson , former director of student services, becomes dean of students.

Shan Wareing joins as dean of learning and teaching development with a brief to enhance learning and teaching across the five colleges. Dr Wareing was previously at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Debbie Hayes joins London College of Communication as dean of the marketing school from Greenwich University, where she was head of marketing and operations.

OUT

Sandra Holtby , head of London College of Fashion since 1995, retires this month.

Paddy Jackman , commercial director, moves to Imperial College London.

Sam Kennedy , project co-ordinator, IT Research and Development Unit, is leaving to take up the position of e-learning co-ordinator at Hereford Regional College.
