A British university is to launch its first degree programme in India. The University of Northampton is to run a master's programme in international environmental management at the University of Madras, Chennai. The programme, delivered by academics from both Northampton and Chennai, is the first time Northampton has offered degrees in partnership with an overseas institution. It follows a memorandum of understanding signed by the two universities in 2007 and feeds into Northampton's commitment to internationalising its curricula and expanding its master's programmes.
