A team of 30 academics and students with expertise in podiatry pitched in to treat runners with foot and ankle injuries at the London Marathon on Sunday. Steve Avil, senior lecturer in podiatry at the University of Northampton's School of Health, said before the event: "It is a great experience for our students who get to put theory into practice in a fast-paced environment."
