Fausto Pocar, an Italian professor of

international law at the University of Milan, has been made a judge on the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal. He has conducted missions for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to Russia and Chechnya. Lusaka

Armed police were called in by the University of Zambia to prevent students from marching into the streets of Lusaka to protest at increases in tuition and boarding fees.
