A specialist centre is to provide the ambulance service with improved access to training and academic expertise. The Centre for Paramedic Science, run by Kingston University and St George's, University of London, will offer diploma and degree-level courses aimed at both newcomers to the ambulance service and more experienced personnel. Partnerships with the London Ambulance Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service will underpin the centre's work.
