A research-intensive university is stepping up its efforts to provide good customer service to students and staff. Imperial College London said its customer service academy will focus on "raising standards and providing excellent service, to Imperial's 13,000 students, 6,000 staff, partners, neighbours and visitors". Service departments, including the registry, catering, finance and IT, will study customer service in the education sector and use comparisons with other institutions to make improvements.
