University of Strathclyde

Kenneth Miller
, professor in the law school, has been appointed deputy chair of the Central Arbitration Committee by the secretary of state for trade and industry, for a period of three years from April 1, 2001.

Michelle Stewart of the international office at the university, has been appointed chair of BUTEX (British Universities Transatlantic Exchange Association) and will serve until December 2002.
