Cecilia Crighton, head of programmes and deputy director, has been appointed director from March 1, 1996.

Frank Morgan, deputy chief executive, has been appointed director and chief executive (designate) succeeding Brian Gomes da Costa.

Nichola Johnson, director of museology and acting keeper of the galleries, has been appointed director of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.

Lindy Brewster, deputy curator at the King's Lynn Museums, Norfolk Museums Service, has been appointed curator (the first full-time curatorship at the museum) of the Old Fulling Mill Museum of Archaeology.

Colin Gilligan, professor of marketing at Sheffield Hallam University, has been elected to the senate of the CIM.

UNIVERSITY OF LUTON

Jane Goodsir, national director of the drugs charity Release and chair of the standing conference on drug abuse, has been appointed associate dean of the faculty of health care and social studies.

SCOTTISH HIGHER EDUCATION FUNDING COUNCIL

Steve Cannon, deputy secretary of the University of Dundee, has joined SHEFC as secretary and director of finance and central services in May for three years.
