University of Central England Ian Oakes, professor and head of the school of engineering systems and information technology, has been appointed associate dean of the faculty of engineering and computer technology.

David Sagar, former head of the Robert Gordon University business school, has been appointed director of education.

Swedish Foundation of Strategic Research

Steve Molyneux, professor and head of the University of Wolverhampton's interactive technologies research centre, has been invited by the Swedish government to act as scientific evaluator for the foundation.
