Applications are invited for:- Department of Management Assistant Professor(s) (Ref: 260000XA) The Department of Management at the CUHK Business School is now inviting applications for the tenure-track position(s) at the Assistant Professor level. We welcome applications from both fresh PhD graduates and seasoned Assistant Professors who are engaged in high-quality scholarship specialized in macro management areas (e.g., strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, international business, family business, sustainability, etc.) or micro management areas (e.g., organizational behavior, leadership, human resource management, etc.). Applicants should possess a PhD degree in management or a related discipline; have a publication record commensurate with the years of experience; and be strongly committed to excellence in scholarly research, teaching and service. Responsibilities include publishing high-quality scholarly research; teaching management courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels; and participating in academic and professional activities. The appointee(s) is/are also encouraged to apply for external funding to support research endeavors. Salary and Fringe Benefits Appointment(s) will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing in 2027, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation. Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications are invited from qualified scholars with expertise in macro management (e.g., strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, international business, family business, sustainability, etc.) or micro management (e.g., organizational behavior, leadership, human resource management, etc.). Applicants should possess (i) a PhD degree in management or a related discipline; (ii) excellent teaching performance, particularly in delivering graduate courses; (iii) a sound track record of publications in top-tier journals; and (iv) strong commitment to service at Faculty and Departmental levels. The appointee(s) will teach courses mainly at the graduate level, such as MBA, EMBA, DBA and MSc courses; publish high-quality scholarly research; and participate in academic and professional activities. He/she is expected to actively bid for competitive external funding support for research endeavors. Appointment will commence in 2027.
