University of York - Changing tastes

六月 18, 2009

An appeal has been made for stories relating to York's cuisine. A project at the University of York is documenting how tastes in the city have changed since 1945, and the team behind it want to interview local people about their eating habits, cafe and restaurant experiences and work in the city's food factories. Menus, letters and cookery books that shed light on York's food history will also be documented. The project is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.
