A £10 million programme has been launched by the University of Surrey and the National Physical Laboratory to translate the results of research into real-world impact. The collaboration is supported by £4 million in funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, with the remaining £6 million coming from Surrey and industrial partners. The project will focus on three areas of technology: communications and signal processing; next- generation materials and characterisation; and nanotechnology and photonics.
