An Indian student who won the chance to study in the UK in a reality TV show has graduated with a first-class degree. Caezaan Keshvani read functional genomics and stem-cell science at the University of Sheffield after winning one of five full scholarships to the UK academy in an Indian television programme, Airtel Scholar Hunt: Destination UK, which tested candidates' skills, motivation, critical thinking and data analysis. The other winners were awarded scholarships at the universities of Cardiff, Leeds, Middlesex and Warwick. Mr Keshvani has now been accepted by the State University of New York to study for a PhD in regenerative medicine.
