A novel deal between a British university and the Romanian Cultural Institute has paved the way for a unique collection of literature to be translated into English. The agreement will see the University of Plymouth publish 20 of the greatest works of Romanian literature over the next five years - providing students and academics with insights into the literary heritage of the Eastern European country. Only a handful of Romanian books have ever been translated into English before. The University of Plymouth Press will publish four texts a year, complete with selected artwork from some of Romania's foremost painters.
