Numbers of academic-related staff at the University of Cambridge increased about 40 per cent during the period 2002 to 2007, while the number of lecturers remained unchanged. The university's council published an analysis of the data this month, confirming the increase in academic-related staff by 343 over the period. The analysis found that total university staff numbers had risen about 12 per cent.
