The government has been warned to take the time to build a consensus on radical pension reform following a study into the effect of major changes in other countries. Researchers from the University of Bristol's Personal Finance Research Centre focused on reforms in eight other countries for a report commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions. A key finding of the study is the need to consult properly with stakeholders, employers, employees and the pensions industry - even if this is a time-consuming process.
