University of Bradford - Spoonful of sugar isn't enough

Researchers from the UK and China are collaborating on a way to neutralise the unpleasant taste of medicines. Teams from the University of Bradford and the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine hope to find a superior alternative to sugar that will make both Western and Chinese medicines more palatable, particularly to young children. Part of Bradford's ongoing China Bridges project, the research is being funded by the municipal government of Changzhou. The findings will be commercialised through a jointly owned spin-off company based in China.
