The world's largest virtual exploration is being led by archaeologists at Stonehenge. The Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes Project, led by the University of Birmingham, will use the latest geophysical-imaging techniques to unlock the mysteries of the monument and show what the area looked like when it was built. The study is co-funded by the new Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Archaeological Prospection and Virtual Archaeology in Vienna, with assistance from the National Trust and English Heritage.
