Ulster's course aims to boost business

Ulster University is introducing an integral course in entrepreneurship that it hopes will boost the number of small and medium-sized businesses in the province.

From September, students taking science, engineering, computing and design degrees will take the module. From September 2001, all students will be introduced to entrepreneurial skills.

Terri Scott, dean of regional development, said there was optimism about the prospect of setting up businesses. "People have an energy and a clarity," he said. Teaching, page 37.
