The Open University - Plug it in

Milton Keynes, home of The Open University, is one of nine UK cities to pilot a compatible network for charging electric and hybrid cars. The OU was a partner in the city's successful application to be part of the £11 million Joined Cities Plan, which aims to create a national network to allow people to charge "plug-in" vehicles throughout the country. Stephen Potter, professor of transport strategy at the OU, said: "We hope that this will be the first step in a climate-change action plan for Milton Keynes in which the university will play a significant role."
