A team of five teaching staff from the University of the Gambia has visited the UK with the aim of developing ideas for a new tourism and hospitality management degree at the African institution. Their visit to Teesside University was funded by a British Council Education Partnerships in Africa grant. Teesside has an established link with the university: last year it donated 2,000 books and 87 computers to the institution.
